Q: Life After Divorce

Hi Everyone Smile I wonder if anyone has any experience to draw on to help me out. I left my husband 2 years ago & we have been divorced since Nov 06. I left him cos we were not making each other happy, he was becoming a bully & we were constantly arguing in front of our 2 young children (lots more but very complicated) I knew that I would never go back to him. He tried everything - promising to change, blackmail, bullying etc. we tried counselling but it was never going to work as i had made up my mind. So, been single since, with a few dalliances. Last year I met someone who I thought I was in love with. i didn't know if I was coming or going (so to speak) He was on the rebound badly and broke my heart - an accident waiting to happen, I guess. I have a constant craving to be with somebody, even though it's not the right time for me and it's making me so unhappy. I'm 36 and I am scared that I will never find the love of my life. I cannot face the thought of being single forever. It's too much. I know I need time to heal but the craving won't go.

Try online dating. I'm marrying now at 34 and my fiance is 36. There is hope.

need friends
Wink
Hi, I have recentally seperated from my husb of 6 years. He was really controlling and over jealous. Although this was a good move for me i am finding the lonliness very hard to deal with. He was my best and only friend since he didn't allow me to have any others. Now that we are not together i find myself needing some kind of human relations. I am 30 and am attractive but seem to be stuck in a rut. i sometimes think getting back with him would just be easier. Know what i mean? But i know this would be a bad idea. I'm tiring to stay strong but again need companionship. I have tried to so the on line dating thing but have not received any responses yet. Is there anyone out there?????????????

If your feeling lonely and in need of making friend etc why don't you try going to some evening classes in your are, Learn a different language, dancing etc Im sure it will be great fun for both you and when you meet someone,
Or if you have children try and invite there friends around and talk to the other parents,
Good luck

I agree with WinterDreams that you should find opportunity to safely meet men with similar interest either through course, as suggested, or by joining local clubs. I would recommend not trying the bar scene as that usually doesn't satisfy the need to find someone. Also, join you local gym - not only can you work on keeping a good figure and staying healthy, but you may just find a fellow there.

Many of my friends have found their guys when they weren't even looking, but were instead just enjoying life and ended up finding a guy that enjoyed it with them.

Hope this helps,

Wendy
