Q: Trying to Cleanse

To begin with, I'm 43, I had a scare about 5 years ago and doctors ran every test imaginable checking stomach and colon. Everything was good. No signs of polyps and no redness or irritation in either. A year later my gallbladder was taken out, it had no stones but was red and irritated. Any way, I do still have occasional stomach and bowel issues that just drive me crazy and this last time it just seems to want to hang, so I am doing a bowel cleansing where I drank 4 ounces of magnesium citrate with an 8 ounce glass of water, and will fast for the rest of the day on a clear liquid diet (water, apple juice), and possilbly tomorrow if I can adhere to it!! My stomach already feels so much better, the bloating and the knawing are not here now. But I had a bowel movement just a bit ago that really shocked me. The regular brown color of a movement, but it looked more like a thick oil than a movement. I wonder if this is because of the cleansing or what. If anyone has any answers I would sure appreciate.

Thanks so much.
