At 8:30 P.M I take my birth control pill, which is Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, I missed a dose yesterday and took it at 3:00 this morning. Between those to times I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and I want to know if I could be pregnant because I'm really scared

YOu have absolutely nothing to worry about!! Right in the booklet you get with your pills, it explains what to do when you miss pills. One missed day like yours means you don't need to use back up protection. You're still safe. Don't be scared, and review the writing that comes with your pills.

Missing a dose of oral birth control (contraception using hormones) for 6 hours is not dangerous and will likely be effective as contraception. You did right when you took the pill as soon as you realized that you had missed a dose. You can continue taking pills regularly and having unprotected sex.
