At 8:30 P.M I take my birth control pill,
which is Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, I missed a
dose yesterday and took it at 3:00 this
morning. Between those to times I had
unprotected sex with my boyfriend and I
want to know if I could be pregnant
because I'm really scared

YOu have absolutely nothing to worry
about!! Right in the booklet you get with
your pills, it explains what to do when
you miss pills. One missed day like yours
means you don't need to use back up
protection. You're still safe. Don't be
scared, and review the writing that comes
with your pills.

Missing a dose of oral birth control
(contraception using hormones) for 6 hours
is not dangerous and will likely be
effective as contraception. You did right
when you took the pill as soon as you
realized that you had missed a dose. You
can continue taking pills regularly and
having unprotected sex.
