Something Terrible

My neighbor's boyfriend and their 7 month
old was killed today. No one knows yet
what really happened. We think that he
shot the baby and the police shot him. He
also shot a deputy before he was gunned
down. They live across the street. We
live in a very small community and know
each other very well. The bodies are
still in the house and the mom/girlfriend
was taken in for questioning. My mom who
lives next door to me has a gun shot
through her garbage. I keep thinking what
if my mom and Ava were walking
outside(they take walks on nice days),
what if my brother would have been out
there (he had just come home), what if my
grandparents would have gone home a couple
of minutes before (they were leaving out
the door when it happened). That gun shot
could have killed someone in my family.
My heart breaks for that precious baby and
his mother and siblings. There's about 20
cop cars still down my street, my mom's
house and their house is a crime scene.

The poor baby!

Did he kill the baby or did the cops kill
the baby in an attempt to kill him after
her shot the cop?

OH my lord! I just watched it!!
The man had been arrested before for many
things, including domestic violence &
manslaughter!!
They didn't say *specifically* who shot
the baby. Just that the man shot the
officer as he entered the fema trailer,
and the 2nd officer came in to defend his
partner. When the shooting was over, they
noticed the baby dead.
They're waiting on a search warrent to
search them trailer.
Oh my .god!!
They showed a pic of the man and he looked
like the type to be a threat.
I can't believe this happened. And if the
baby died because of the police I'll be
super mad! They(the cops) don't know when
to stop pulling the trigger. You *never*
hear of a cop shooting less than 40
something rounds without hitting a thing!
I'm nausious now.
The news is going to update the story as
they get the info.

that is so so terrible. even worse if the
cops were the ones that killed the baby.

I just watched the 6 oclock news. They
still don't know who shot the baby. We've
been outside just waiting and talking to
neighbors. It's an eerie scene out there.
That poor baby boy and mother. They had
nothing to do with it. I want to know why
the hell a man convicted of manslaughter
was living across my street. We were
warned when he moved in with her that he
wasn't someone to mess with. I'm friends
with the gf/mother's neice and she told me
to keep the house locked and call the cops
if he ever even came in our yard. I was
always worried about him. She actually
tried to commit suicide 2 months ago.
They were on lots of drugs. She's a good
person, but caught up with the wrong guy.

involved with him in the first place?
If I knew my man had a violent past and he
caused the death (one way or another) of
my child, I would never forgive myself.
Not ever. This must be tearing her apart.

wow i woulda been terrified to live where
you are, that guy seemed crazy but i guess
its good hes gone now, and ifeel really
bad for that poor baby, he shouldnt have
ever been allowed to touch that child with
his history. U need to update when u find
out about the baby, we dont get news like
that here. Id be after the cops if there
dumb@$$es killed that poor child. Glad you
all are doing safe and now will be even
safer with him gone. Im suprised he wasnt
in jail or something by now. Were you at
home when it happened?

I was at work. The SWAT team center isn't
far from the school I teach at. We heard
all the cars flying down the bayou -
that's what we call it when you're going
south. I went to call my mom to see if
she knew something and I had 2 missed
calls, one from her and one from jesse and
I panicked. I called jesse and he said
that all he knew was that he heard
gunshots and someone next door was dead.
I called my mom and she filled me in on
what she knew. They're not sure if the
cops killed the baby or the daddy did,
either way it was an accident. It
happened at 1 and they didn't take the
bodies out until 9. I heard that the
mother was still in the cop car hours
later and wouldn't get out b/c she was so
much in shock.

Oh my. What a heart breaking story. This
world has just gone crazy. It really
scares me to bring my baby girl into this
world. Having a family is suppose to be a
joyful time in your life; but when things
like this happen, it kinda takes some of
the joy away. It's hard to be joyful when
you have to worry about letting your kids
go outside, in your own yard, to play.
