I would wait until your period is officially late to test. The tests are more accurate then (less chance of false negatives). Some tests can detect a pregnancy 5 days sooner (though the box cheats a bit with that--the 5th day is the day your period is due), but if you read the stats on the box, testing 4 days before your period will give something like 30% of pregnant women a positive that soon.

Some women do spot before they get their periods. Pregnant women may have implantation spotting (though still you need about 3 days after implantation to get a positive pregnancy test). Some women have a sensitive cervix and may spot after sex.

I would wait until you are late on your period and then test.

its actually not an update, its more of a statement lol, i have never had it before, before my period, it is due around the 27th and i is the 23rd and it is like what i get after my period, that brownish after blood sorry bout the grafics, but yeah, should i be worried, i never bled due to sex, even my first time but yeah should i be worrie or is it common for being pregnant or what sorry bout all this wirting but its cool writing on a laptop caz al the buttons r quite and small lol ayway bye xxoxx p.s the brown spotting starter last ngith and i thought thta as going to be the lot of it but it has continued today so yeah...cya

im not sure what day the brown discharge started but it is now the 29th and my period is 2 days late and im still having spotting, even though it is like black. freak out!!!

I am 16 i had my period on the 11th to the 15 th of march it is now the 21 of apirl i am sexualy active and today on apirl 21 i had a brownish discharge culd i be pragnant i really need to know what i am suppose to do.that area below my stomach above my bone is hard when i stad up and i am very sleepy.let me know what you can get from this thank you so much and i feel really bad
