Q: Should I Really Be Back On the Pill ?

Ok, so I got off birth control for a month because I ran out of my prescription. During that time, I went to the doctor, got a new prescription, and waited for my period so I could get back on the pill. Last Saturday I started my period. Or, what I thought was my period. I stopped bleeding yesterday, just two days after it started! This has never happened before. My periods have always been five to seven days. So now, I'm not sure whether I should get back on the the pill or not. Is there a chance I might be pregnant?

Your period could be irregular because your body was adjusting to being off birth control. That is very common.

Continue taking your birth control pills if you did start them as planned, but you can also get a home pregnancy test just to be certain you are not pregnant. There's no sense in worrying/stressing for nothing when you can find out for sure.

.your body was going through a period of adjustment due to the loss of the hormones the pill was providing. .this causes many women to have irregular periods for moths after stopping so what you are going through is completely
normal.

Start your pill like you would regularly and use a back up method for 7 days to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.
