Q: Personal Lubrication

New User, Becoming EHEALTHy
Hello!
My question is this: I have always been very sensitive when it comes to sex. Every time me and my boyfriend will start I would get wet at once and it was great. In the past couple of months my lubriction went away. Now it takes longer for me to lubricate myself. Could you tell me what may have caused it and how to get back to what I had before? Thank you

Extremely EHEALTHy
Many things can cause you to be drier, including not being as attracted to your partner, age, or certain types of medication to name a few. So it is difficult for us to say exactly why you are having a problem. You could try store bought lubricants or talk it over with your ob-gyn.

We are as attracted to each other as we were before. And I don't take any medications except for my birth control that I have been taking for the las 2 years and Centrum.

That started happening to me every one in awhile after I switched my type of birth control. Also, you could just be dehydrated. If you aren't drinking enough liquid or have been drinking alcohol, low hydration levels could cause that to happen. If all else fails you can always have some fun shopping in the sexual health section for some lubricants! haha!

Ironically, birth control quite often causes lack of lubrication or lack of sexual desire. That is probably the culprit. You can try switching to a different pill or just use a lot of lube.

i barely get any discharge anymore. it doesn't matter how turned on i am.

i used to get varying discharge throughout the month (sometimes white, sometimes clear and mucousy) but now all i get is the white stuff and it's not very good as lubricant.

i have a sneaking suspicion it may be because of my birth control too. i'm considering changing brand. has any one changed brand and found it helped?
