Q: Clogged Ears And Flying

I have a terribly plugged ear after flying a few days ago - the pain is mostly gone but still can't hear out of one ear. Should I fly back home with it still plugged, use those plugs that are used when descending or since it is already plugged will that make it worse? I have tried the ear wax removal stuff, not help. Any suggestions?
