Oxypowder Cleanse Now Or Wait Till After Gi Appt ? Posted: 05-21-07 08:29am
I have a GI appt to discuss why I'm always
so bloated, constipated, and have blood in
stool (hemroids, anal fissure, or
something worse).
Diet is healthy with enough fiber and
fruit/veggies. Drink plentiful water.
Have a stomach that makes me look 6 months
pregnant (i'm a male).
Should I wait until the GI does an
adequete workup? Wife is a physician who
will be going with me to GI specialist
(wife is internal medicine...understands
background but not a specialist) so GI
won't be shrugging it off saying it's my
diet and come back in 6 months.
Is there a test that can tell you if you
have excess waste clogging ur intestines?
Do you need a coloniscopy (sp?) or some
type of scan?...or is this all based on
sympoms?
Thanks
Jack

I wouldn't wait................why wait to
be healthy?
The info I received from my boy's gastro
doc wasn't earth shattering and it .Will
be along the lines of changing the diet,
drinking more water and if your lucky??
medicine that'll probably give more pain
than relief..........don't get me
wrong............like
doctors............but they know and
practice one thing and one thing
only.....................medicine.........
....there's very few that will give any
credence to alternative type
practices........
There is such a thing as impacted stool
and apparently evidence of this can be
felt in the abdomen and to confirm an
xray..............although due to your
other symptoms your tests may be more
extensive

Thanks for your response. What was your
boys symptoms? age?
I understand several Drs shrug it off and
send you on your way. However I've
already done most if not all of those
suggestions. I just want an adequate work
up is all. I'm curious if I do have a
bacterial overgrowth from international
travels which can be treated with Cipro
(antibiotic).
Right now I'm not in any pain...just
uncomfortable. GI appt is 2 weeks from
yesterday (june 11) so i have no problem
waiting only two weeks.
Thanks

If you suspect that something is clogging
the intestines, try a colon
cleanser. There are many products to
choose from on the market. Just do a
google search and you can find the most
competitive prices.

My boy is 15 years............lousy
digestive system from the get
go...........sluggish and believe me I've
tried all the regular suggestions and a
few off beat ones...........not saying
oxypowder works for everyone..........just
works here, and
consistently.............after the regular
cleansing dose, he's now on 2 oxypowder
and 2 senna every single
night.............if I lower the dose
immediate constipation............habit
forming?? not convinced entirely, he has
afterall had lazy bowels from the
start............and although other
methods worked briefly they didn't have
the staying power of oxy.
As for bacterial overgrowth, take the docs
prescription...........but keep in mind
that antibiotics kill the bad and good
bacteria..........I give him lactobacillus
sporogenes(or whatevers available in your
area)..........a mini army of good
bacteria to ward off any bad
stuff...........
If I had to rate it out of all the
supplements I ever bought it's definitely
numero uno.............however Canadian
regulations slow as they are.........have
made it difficult to obtain and I see a
trip to the states in the
future........................I can see
myself at the border now............"But
Mr Customs Officer-type sir..........this
ain't drugs!............it's to help my
son poop!",lol
