Random I know!

Eyebrows: I had my eyebrows done today and the woman took off way too much! I now look like I have been penciled. I also look asymmetrical as one eyebrow is thicker and more normal looking than the other. It is quite annoying. I look in the mirror and am annoyed. I just can't let it go!! It just ticks me off. I have never had this happen before. I just hope it grows back the same as it was before! Anyone experience something similar and ended up with normal looking eyebrows later?? Please say yes. Annoyances!

The same person did my hair yesterday and parts ended up being really white not blond. She redid it today and it looks a little better. My son told me that it looks better. He told me yesterday that it looks silly. He was right. It did look silly!! I believe pregnancy hormones really played a role in her having a difficult time coloring my hair. Even when she used a neutral based tint, my hair would turn red. The same thing happened the last time I got it done about three months ago...it turned reddish but I didn't have it corrected. It has to be a pregnancy thing.

Escalators: I was trying to go down a pretty big escalator with my son and practically lost balance at the top. I got off and quickly pulled him off. I attempted one more time and just couldn't do it. My husband was laughing a bit because I was literally freaked out about going down an escalator. What a freak! My poor child had to see me basically freak out on an escalator. It was truly embarrassing. I could barely go down the escalator alone. I was ready to take an elevator. My balance is "officially" off. I met a friend today for lunch and she noted how big I look. A lot of people think that I am around 36 weeks.

My hubby will take pictures later today after my much needed nap that I am going to attempt to take.

dont feel bad about the escalator thing

i hate escalators and elevators with a passion, it may have somthing to do with me being clostraphobic and afraid of heights, im also afraid of regular stairs but they are better then moving ones lol

it makes trying to get to a different level of a building interesting though, my mum laughs at me constantly for it

the first time (and almost my last!) i got my eyebrows waxed i went to a place in the mall. i'd been along with my friend when she went to a salon for a wax and they always just leaned her back over one of the shampoo sinks and they were done in like 3 minutes. this place had a special room with a bed/table thing, i'm surprised it didn't have restraints on it. a tiny old asian woman brought me back there and she barely spoke english, she waxed and tweezed and plucked for what seemed like 30 minutes and the whole time she wouldn't let me get up and i couldn't see what was going on. i was convinced she was getting every last hair! she finally gave me a mirror and i almost burst into tears, my eyebrows were so thin they were practically gone. oh, and then she says "you come in ugly, i make you look beautiful". i was too scared not to tip her!

i ended up getting used to them and looking back at pictures they weren't as bad as i first though. i just let them grow back and kind of kept up with tweezing so they wouldn't look messy.

oh, and i have a really hard time getting on escalators too! it takes me a few times and some serious hesitation before i can step on.

i got my eyebrows waxed and they messed it up every time. they were always uneven and badly shapen. then i discovered threading! what a difference. they look so good now, and with threading it is more accurate as they can get individual hairs unlike waxing big chunks off. its also sleeker looking than waxing. then i also read in a mag that celebs get threaded rather than waxed because it looks more natural.

Is threading less painful than waxing? I've had my eyebrows waxed once and I was waiting for the blood to pour down my face. Shocked

threading isn't at all painfull and it's so beautifully done. waxing by the way is horrible for the delicate skin on the browbone, it will give you wrinkles earlier.

first let me say that i hate hate hate Escalators, i saw a little boys shoe lace get caught in one...and that was it for me. He was fine but he almost lost his shoe in that. he just slipped out of it and then his father pulled the shoe out. it's was crazy scary for me...i started crying...and the little guy was laughing.

i went to have my eyes waxed when i was preggers and they wouldn't do them...so i was under the impression you couldnt' have them done during pregnancy...i guess it's just the prefference of the place that i went to?!

i would wrather twease!

to be honest....i think threading is worse. but to me its so worth it. i think groomed brows frame the face, and can really open up the eyes if they are done correctly. i feel really unpretty when my brows arent done. i dont know maybe im weird.

Really? Neutral What does threading involve, exactly? I'm not sure that .i've heard of it.

I know what you mean. I hate going out when my eyebrows aren't plucked. I feel like people are saying "wow, look at those chia pets on her face!" Embarassed

its an indian/middle eastern (?) cultural thing. they take thread and they sort of roll it on the skin, its hard to explain...and the thread pulls out all the hairs, even the tiny ones that tweezers always seem to miss. its pretty neat.

I naturally have such ugly, bushy eyebrows!! I don't have a lot of hair on my head but hair just seems to grow like weeds other places! Not fair. It's good to get my eyebrows done when they are done well. I should try threading. I have never heard of threading before. It sounds painful! It's good to hear that some of you that have had bad eye wax experiences do get your eyebrows back. I have hope.

Shocked weird!

Karin: my eyebrows can get bushy too Sad I hate them.

my eyebrows didn't look weird after I got them waxed, but the area was bright red that entire day. I had to work that afternoon too. Neutral I said "never again" and I stuck with it! Laughing

threading is the coolest thing to watch but i personally think its more painful then waxing.. its like an art though...

no worries karin.. my eyebrows got butchered too and now it looks like im missing half of one.. not to mention i went and got my hair cut and she gave me...gasp bangs!! ahh not cute ones but super super short ones..needless to say ive been wearing headbands lately praying theyll grow before bree gets here.. nothing worse then having your hair jacked up when you already feel like crap about the rest of your body ...errrrrr hormones!
