Q: We Bought a House!
asked by: ladylee70 on May 18th, 2007

Our offer went through and we will be in our house within 30 days, thank goodness. I will be almost 36 weeks pregnant!! That is right before or during serious nesting stage season!! I am already going through it.

We are so very happy! The people accepted our first offer, which I can't believe. I was expecting a counter offer of at least $2,000. We still would have paid it, too. That would have been more money in their pocket but I think they are desperate to move because now they have four kids in a smaller household. They just had a new addition!! This is the house where Nathan doesn't like the "icky green walls!" It has a nice built in swing set in the backyard, so I think he will get over the icky green walls.

I am more happy about moving into this house then I was with the other two. I think it's because with the first house, it was just me and my husband. With the second house, it was our "PhD home" meaning we just bought it while my husband was going to go to school for five years - we wanted equity. After a year, we decided that long phd road wasn't for us. Now, we are moving into a home that will be our home for a long period of time. A home that our kids can stay in and have some consistency! Nathan hasn't had consistency for a few years and I just feel so much at peace that he will finally get it!

Sorry, I am rambling.

I know some people on here say they can't wait to have a home. We were 27 years old when we bought our first home. I hardly had any possessions of my own age 26. We all have our own timetable and situations. It did stink being a little older than some of my friends were when they bought homes, but it just wasn't possible before!

That is so great that you'll be in your own place before your little one is here. Moving is the pits though.

You guys are so great!! Thanks for being happy for us. When we lived in WA state for 8 months, we lived in the smallest cramped apt. You could walk from one side of the living room to the kitchen in four or five smaller steps. We had two dogs and a three year old in that tiny abode. We really had to learn to be thankful for what we had, although it was so very hard.

On moving day, you bet I will be sitting back and letting others do the work:)

Funny!

Green is one of his favorite colors but this color of green is a little different than what he is used to. He is a very opinionated young man.

Maybe he'll be too busy swinging to pay them much attention? One can hope, anyway. Laughing

I am so glad you have found a place to call home. and it just so happens to be in the same city that I call home. After the baby is born and your ready to see the sights we will have to go out to a few areas that you will just find amazing!!!! Good luck and if you need any help don't hesitate to call on me I have a truck and a trailor so I can help where ever you might need it.

The green paint will be an easy fix just don't work to hard, although your going through your nesting stage you still need to be careful. I have Monday's off and of course the weekends and you know my number so give me a call.

I am so happy for you and I can't wait to see it.

We actually have had the chance to hang out. We went to the park with my two boys and her little man Nate. It was alot of fun and she is a great lady. Her and her husband are very nice people and Nate is as cute as a button. She deffinantly deserves to finally have stability she has been through a lot of moves.
