Our offer went through and we will be in our house within 30 days, thank goodness. I will be almost 36 weeks pregnant!! That is right before or during serious nesting stage season!! I am already going through it.
We are so very happy! The people accepted our first offer, which I can't believe. I was expecting a counter offer of at least $2,000. We still would have paid it, too. That would have been more money in their pocket but I think they are desperate to move because now they have four kids in a smaller household. They just had a new addition!! This is the house where Nathan doesn't like the "icky green walls!" It has a nice built in swing set in the backyard, so I think he will get over the icky green walls.
I am more happy about moving into this house then I was with the other two. I think it's because with the first house, it was just me and my husband. With the second house, it was our "PhD home" meaning we just bought it while my husband was going to go to school for five years - we wanted equity. After a year, we decided that long phd road wasn't for us. Now, we are moving into a home that will be our home for a long period of time. A home that our kids can stay in and have some consistency! Nathan hasn't had consistency for a few years and I just feel so much at peace that he will finally get it!
Sorry, I am rambling.
I know some people on here say they can't wait to have a home. We were 27 years old when we bought our first home. I hardly had any possessions of my own age 26. We all have our own timetable and situations. It did stink being a little older than some of my friends were when they bought homes, but it just wasn't possible before!
