Q: the Honesty of Kids!

My child, bless his heart, is just so honest. This morning, he told me "Mommy, you are just so fat!" Thank goodness he doesn't say that to other people. Yep, I am pregnant and fat. I just got my hair done back to blond. I asked him if he liked it and he said, "No mommy, it looks icky." I asked him several times in different ways and he responded to me in similar ways.

We picked a house to move into and when he saw the green walls in the living room he said, "Mommy, those walls are icky color." He doesn't like the color of the house on the outside either as he made that perfectly clear. The funny thing is neither do I but I never voiced that opinion. He doesn't like the tile because "It's weird!" He is a very anal and opinionated young man. Anal like his father and opinionated like me.

When he was with his grandfather about a month ago, he patted his belly and asked "You got a lot of food in there?" That was so funny because his grandpa has a little pooch for a belly!!

oh, the honesty of kids

I will send some pics today or tomorrow! My husband has some kind of strange computer set up, so it's not that easy to send pics. I need to send some updated belly shots, too.

I remember being horrified at some of the things that came out of my daughter's mouth when she was little. She never had very good filters, and she still doesn't!!!!!!!

Oh my! I think it's just a matter of time until my child says something like that. He is just so vocal and has absolutely no filter!! I would have just died if I were with little Tommy during that moment!!
