I get so sick of this sometimes...This is day #4 of nasty SOD pain and I am so tired. I haven't eaten in 3 days now, and the stupid meds are making me so nauseated. I want to cry. I want to go to bed, but I know I won't be able to sleep anyway. I want someone to smile at my kids for me. I hate feeling sorry for myself, but here I am. If someone would please remove the spear from my side,I would be really thankful. OK. I am not going to vent anymore, just please please make this go away soon..... Crying or Very sad

I am not sure if this is what I have. Have you been diagnosed? I had my gall bladder out 3 years ago. All of a sudden 2 weeks ago, I have pain in my upper right quadrant, just like before my surgery. I have been on the internet for days, trying to find answers. I went to the doctor a week ago and he found a slight infection in my urine and treated it as such. I knew before I even took the first antibiotic that it wasn't. Sure enough a week later I am still hurting. It is almost a constant, sleeping is my only real relief, although some days are much worse than others. I wish I could make your pain go away........ and mine too.

This was, for me, a diagnosis made by ruling out everytihing else. I will not have an ERCP because the risk of pancreatitis is so great with my type of SOD, and because it may not yeild any more inormation anyway. Please see the sticky under "supporter introduction" It explains a lot about SOD, or at least how I got to where I am and what works for me. Most of the time, I am able to function quite well.

Vtowell - you said that you had a urinary tract infection right before you got sick and started having the pain. By chance - did the DR give you a RX for OFLOXIN (or any of its relatives). I ask because I have suffered from elevated liver enzymes, SOD and Sever SOD pain fro 13 years, and one thing guaranteed to trigger the problem is Ofloxin, Ceple, floxin. Look into it.It could save you some hell in the future.

ERCP PROBLEMS
My wife had her gallbladder remove 14 month ago and got pancreatitis. So she had to get a ERCP done. She stay nine days in the hospital beause of this. Since then she had four ERCP and each time she got pancreatitis and had to stay in the hospital for a week or so. She had the so called SOD and it did not work. She is still sick. Now they want to put a stend in her bile duct via ERCP and then a month later they will remove the stend again ERCP. She can not eat most the time. This all started with the gallbladder removeal. She does not drink or smoke and was a very very healthy person before this. It's like she is dying. Is this cancer??? Is anyone out there happy with a ERCP?
