‘The sweetest thing you’ll ever know - is to love and be loved in return.’ Vinicius de Moraes (Brazilian musician)

There is nothing more sublime to heal your wounded soul than to give love to an equally wounded creature. A shelter animal, an abandoned animal, a love-hungry animal. A wounded animal. This your abandoned ‘rose garden,’ your secret garden. A love-hungry helpless and forlorn animal. And animals – cats, dogs, turtles, birds – share love, above in many ways to human love, for it is innocent and unconditional. Animals accept nurture, and give back caring in a pristine and pure way. Because they are helpless without you, they need you, and they stick with you and give back your love and care.
If you are wounded, brother or sister – and don’t have a pet – you don’t imagine the joy it brings to rescue and treat a loving animal.
Get a pet – it will become your therapy, your consolation, your reason to give love that vouchsafes a return, something for certain that will add a beautiful new dimension to your soul, and heal you ad infinitum…………..
The beauty and innocence and oh so simple affection of a simple creature will bathe you with cures and blessings and, above all, with a love that will heal many of your wounds……………….
