I heard it was total of 3 months and 6 months for it to show on test. Then again, i heard it can take 10 years for it to show. What's the truth?

It usually takes about three months to show up on a test. It may take six months to a year to show up in rare cases, however.

There are many reasons why you might feel weird, or sick, or anything else. The only way to know if you have HIV is to test for it. If you test negative, maybe you have something else.

Yep
llewellyn is right: you can more or less bet on a test being correct at 3 months, a lot of people will test again at 6 just to make sure. the number of people who are infected with the virus and still test negative after 6 months is somewhere around 2 or 3 %- it is VERY rare.
you mentioned your body felt wierd- chances are great that this is something else, NOT HIV: HIV symptoms take YEARS to show up in most people, and again, only 2-3% of people have symptoms that progress more rapidly than that.
