Okay here it goes:
for the past few weeks I have had chest
pains like heartburn, but it has gotten
worse over the past several days. I'm
only 18 by the way. I visited the doctor
and he told me I had gerd and placed me on
prevacid. The pain has still continued to
increase and is constant, no matter if I
am eating or not. Everytime I eat I get
this extremely sharp pain right below my
breasts in between them. It hurts to
take a deep breath, and I have had a fever
the past 3 days. I went back to the
doctor today and he did a chest x-ray and
said he didn't see any infection. I also
had to give urine and blood test. The
results won't be back for a couple of
days. He also increased my prevacid and
told me to take it twice a day instead of
one. He doesn't even know what's really
wrong with me. I was hoping that maybe
someone on here might be able to explain
to me what is going on. I know doctors
know what they are doing, but has anyone
ever felt like this too?

If your doctor hasn't already tested for
H-pylori have him do so. This is a
stomach bacteria that come from
contaminated water or food, such as
unclean ice machines at fast food places
or convientent stores. It caused be to
believe that I was either having a heart
attact or gall bladder attact. The pain
between my shoulder blades made it
impossible to take a deep breath. Sound
familiar? It is a simple blood test then 2
wks of the right meds (which are terrible
but well worth it. You will feel like a
new person!
Hope this helps

Do you have constant pain in your upper
abdomen, more under rib cage on right
side?
Do you feel nauseous?
