Q: Heart Attack question

my wife died of a myocardial infarction. When I arrived at the hospital she was unconscious and her heart rate was 37. I was told by the nurse that even though she was unresponsive, she could still hear me. Is that true? How would anyone know that?

I am very sorry to hear about your wife.

In answer to your question studies of brain activity, and interviews with people who have recovered give insights into this. Is this something that bothers you or are you hoping she was able to hear?

Death from heart attacks take people by surprise, a substantial number of people never new they had heart disease until a fatal heart attack struck them down.

If you are interested in finding out more info on heart disease, read "answers to: heart disease" by wolff. Very compelling and interesting read. Explains why so many people are dying from this disease despite the enormous volume of meds we swallow every year to stop it.
