Q: Pain In Navel And Right Side of Abdomen

I'm a healthy (for the most part, anyway) 40 year old male and for the past week, I have had this sharp pain in my navel and around the right side of my abdomen. The ab soreness feels like the soreness one would experience after doing situps or crunches, but only in this centralized location. My navel area is very sensitive to the touch (sharp pain) and I also have this, what I can only describe as "bloated" or "full" feeling most of the day. There are no fluids excreting from my navel area, no pain during urination, bloody stool or urine, nor is there any odor, which some others have mentioned. Is this the onset of some kidney/colon issue? Appendictis? Any insight into these symptoms would be greatly appreciated.

sonds more like the symptoms of an Umbilical hernia. Is there a lump when you bear down or do a sit up? If so go see your doc. If you have a hernia it's an easy surgical fix.

I can tell you that im almost positive it isnt a appendicitious. If it was you would no because the pain is unbearable. Its hard to stand or walk and after 48 hours it bursts (the infection goes to your blood stream).
