Q: Eating Disorder...i Want to Stop

Okay, i've kind of always had a problem with binge eating, but a few months ago i began to binge and purge. I thought i could keep it under control, it was just a faze i was going through, but now i cannot stop. Except it is getting to where i cannot make myself throw-up anymore, i try and nothing, which i know is a good thing. My body knows it is doing something wrong, but i need to stop not only to be healthy but because now i'm starting to gain weight from it. I want to stop so bad, i just don't know what to do. My husband has been overseas for about 8 months now and he is coming home in 2 months, so i want to overcome this problem so i can focus on him and not this. If anyone can help, i would really appreciate it.

Hello.
Welcome to this forum. I hope you can get some help from here or at least that you get comfort in sharing your situation.
It is very hard for someone to overcome an eating disorder or a possible eating disorder alone, because there will be loads of ghosts inside your head.
If you wnat to stop and if you recognize that you have a problem, you're one step closer to getting healthy again.
Seeking counselling or therapy is the best way, if you can afford it. So, if you can, seek a doctor and he or she will help you getting through this, ok?
Meanwhile, you can always talk to us.
PM me if you want to, as well, ok?

Cheers and good luck Smile
