27 year old male. i went to the doctor a few weeks ago and had discomfort in groin area and discomfort in testicles(right one). Gave me dioxycycline(sp.) for 7 days twice a day(not sure mg.) Well after that still had slight discomfort in groin area, but none in testes. Had a weaker urine stream than usual and had Digital exam of prostate and slightly swollen. Doctor gave me 500mg of Cipro for 14 day supply(one pill twice day). Well still having slight burning in penis and still urine stream is not completely normal. What you think guys? kinda concerned now

Well, have you continued to go to the doctor? What does he say?

Otherwise, it sounds like the doctor suspected infection(s), perhaps epididymitis, urinary and/or prostate infection. If it was an infection, it's possible you still have it. Another visit to the doctor would be in order.

If it's an infection you could use some supplements along with (or alone, but I still think you should go to the doctor) antibiotics. Some good ones are Vitamin C, Zinc, Astragalus, Colloidal Silver, Garlic, etc.

Then perhaps the most important is probiotics, which are good bacteria. Antibiotics kill all the bacteria in your body, good and bad. The good needs to be replenished so you can properly digest, assimilate nutrition, fight bad bacteria, and otherwise be healthy with a strong immune system. You can replenish it by buy a probiotic supplement. Look for high numbers, multiple strains, and enteric coating. Lactobacillus Sporogenes is a strain that reportedly (according to Mercola) has the highest chance of working for the most people. That is to say, not every strain grabs hold easily for every person. However, a multiple strain gives you variety and possibilities.

Hi
I believe if I were a male or you were my husband, I/He would be finding a specialist and getting an appointment ASAP. Some specialist are booked up for months, so the sooner you can get to one the better. Obviously you are not getting better by a couple rounds of different antibiotics, other test are in order and the sooner you find out, the better......also for peace of mind on your behalf. Hope you find your answer! Cool

Hi
I have learned over hte years, worry and stress causes more harm than good. Don't worry about something that you can't control. Once you find out, then you can do something to correct the situation. Until then, go on and live life...its too short to worry over. Just glad to know you are going to see a Urologist and have this taken care of. Its probably something minor, so you'd worry for nothing. Even if it turns out to be something other, you are nipping it in yhe bud. So many people allow things to go on for years, then wait until its too late to see a Dr. Keep us posted!

so you think its just a bacterial infection that can be taken care of with the right antibiotics? I dont think its too serious after reading post after post simply b/c its only one side of my groin(right) that lymph node is sore/swollen.
