I am a 46 year old woman. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a myxoma, the size of a pea along with mvp with chronic regurg, pulmonary hypertension, asthma, and high blood pressure. Lately i've been experiencing a lot of shortness of breath (not asthma) an aweful low of palptation and tightness in my chest. The doctor said that my valve had to be replaced instead of repaired. I was wondering when should this operation be performed. The doctor was saying to wait for a while before he perform the surgery but from what i've been reading it should have been done. Can anyone offer me any advise on this matter. I am really worried that soemthing may happen to me before I can have the surgery.
