Has anyone had core deompression and distraction to the hip .I am 17 and discussing with the doctor about this.The idea is that by distracting the femur bone from the hip joint for 3 months will allow new bone growth, after that I am to have an ostotomy.It does mean that I have to have an external fixator
for the next 3 months(not a happy thought) but if there is new growth I feel that there is some hope.
Ialso had a scfe at 15 but unfortunately have got avascular necrosis as a result, which is why I am asking the above question.
