About 4 wks ago, i noticed a pimple on the upper part of my pubic area. My first thought was herpes. I expected it to pop and leave a lession. It didn't pop. a few tiny pimples appeared. I'd been breaking out on my face too since i was stressed. i had unprotected sex 9 mths ago. It's been 4 wks of me thinking i have herpes, but only 1 pimple like bump is big enough to really see. The rest are very tiny, and harder to see. A few were around my butt. What make me think its herpes is that it started itching about a week ago. Not unbearable itching. what makes me think it might not be herpes is the fact that it has lasted so long without popping. And I did some reaserch and the pimple i have is raised and looks more like something called Molluscum contagiosum. some sites say M.C. isn't itchy, and some sites says it can be. i have no other symptoms except the itch and bumps, no reddness or pain. can this be herpes? can bumps be very raised and last 4 weeks without changing?

Herpes Answer A2806
A herpes lesion is caused by the Herpes simplex virus (HSV). Typically, herpes-lesion go through an appearance change over time. To be specific, HSV has 4 stages: During the first stage, a red spot appears called an "erythema" that is painful and itches; then a pimple filed with serous liquid appears in the vesicular stage; the pimple occurs in the middle of the erythema; after few days, the pimple pops and an ulceration stays, and finally the ulceration turns into a crust and heals with no scar. The whole evolution of the herpes-lesion lasts about 14 days. Itching and redness is present all the time.
In your case, you state that there is a “pimple” but you are not sure if it is filled with something or not. If it is filled with pus, the skin condition is called a superficial folliculitis. Superficial folliculitis is a bacterial infection. If there is nothing inside the bump, the condition is called papula and could beinfected with the Human papiloma virus (HPV)-wart. Those small bumps you notice could originate from the big one which is typical for warts (auto-spreading). Warts usually do not itch.
Further, Molluscum contaginosum is a skin viral infection caused by the virus Monitor hominis. Here the warts have a hole in the middle. When pressed from the sides, these warts expel some yellowish mass. Molluscum contaginosum can itch if it is secondarily infected with bacterium.
You can visit your primary health provider or a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Red Bump
I have the same problem but have genital itching for last 7-8 months. I went to a dermatologiet who said it was not Herpes and gave me fungal treatment. It seemed to get better but the itching is back with one red bump and the bump lasts for about 3-4 days and goes away typicall. A hair is inside the middle of the bump. I do have HSV1 and have alwyas had outbreaks in my mouth. Plannned Parenhood and the dermatolgist said it was not herpes but i am worried again casue the itching is back and the whole pubic area itches and burns all the time. Going to an STD clinic to test the bump. Your thoughts?

Sounds like a smililar issue to me aswell, I had protected sex with two partners and that''s all i''ve had, and well it''s been 7 months, but I started getting a similar issue. I''m not sure what it is, but it has started to spread. I''ve been very worried, because I haven''t been sexually active.

Genital warts are tiny little bumps under the skin that looks very much like a rash. However, genital warts can spread from one area to another very rapidly.

As they get bigger and easier for the eye to see, they indeed look like a rash under the skin.

If they are genital warts and they keep maturing with out medications, they will turn into unsightly warts.

Most of the time, these bumps or warts, do not itch or bleed, but they will if they get big enough, are bothered by your clothes, rubbing and sometimes even sexual activity.

Genital warts can grow into colonies, that look very much like cauliflower. They are very ugly!

If your bumps are genital warts, the time to treat this virus, is immediately. The longer that you wait, the longer it will take for a remedy to address the problem.

At this time there is no cure for genital warts.

But, there are some all natural products on the Internet that will help you keep your genital warts at bay, once you get the HPV or Human papiloma virus, under control, with these all natural products.

This does not mean that you can not be reinfected by a partner or close contact with an infected person.

Nor, that you are not carrying the virus and are not able to infect someone. You are still contagious and can transfer the disease to someone else.

The best way not to get reinfected or spread the virus, HPV, is through no sexual contact.

All natural products for genital warts, do not scar, hurt and are not expensive, compared to other methods. Plus you can treat HPV at home, in privacy.

Garadsil is known to have done serious damage to some. Not enough research was done on the drug before it hit the market. FDA let this dangerous drug slide through with out proper case studies on all ages.

Start your treatment with an all natural product for genital warts, A.S.A.P. Time is always of the essence when dealing with a virus, as a virus can spread.

There is lots of great information around the web and lots of pictures, where you can see if you have genital warts. Be informed.

look girl, i know what type of condtion and feelings you are going through but always keep one thing in mind that whenever you feel like having a symptom. first thing that should be done is to go and be tested. your condition is not so much serious but still if you feel so, then its better to consult your physician.

Sos! I went to an extremely cold weather my skin dried. Everywhere was itchy. Its been a month since I went home. I don't know if there's any relevance but mY pubic area has been itching in the morning and night. I first noticed white dandruff looking in my pubic hair.. Then when I scratch it becomes hard lumps that can't really be seen. Sometimes thE lumps burns maybe from scratching then it dries up..leaving extra skin looking like it popped or something.. Sometimes there's pus on the hair. I wouldn't say its std I haven't had sex for 8months and it was protected and I read bout herpes it doesn't seem like it.. Or warts.. Do you have an idea what it is? I'm very shy to go to the doc. I've never been. Please. I really need your help. Has anyone experienced this any solutIon?

Pimple like bump... not herpes!
I have been getting the same things for about a year now. Mine however are pus filled with very little bleeding. The bump grows for a couple of days much like a pimple and then after a hot shower or hot compress it bursts and the pus, and pain all goes away. I did think for the longest time that i was something wrong but after looking online and doing extensive research I believe it is the Superficial folliculitis. I will however go to a doctor and get it checked out.

I've got the same problem. I just shaved and it started as one or two little pimples on myright leg next to my balls, then 3 on the left. I popped the biggest one of em with a needle in the shower and a TON of puss came out but the discomfort left. So I popped the rest.....it was all good for 2 days then a whole lot of smaller ones started showing up on the bottom of my balls where it meets my perenal region, one huge one on my waste line, 3 more where my pubic hair would be, some on my leg.... They itch sooooo bad and when I scratch them they hurt. Idk. I'm trying cortizone 10.
