I played classical music (Beethoven, Bach,
Tschowski, Mozart) ever since I was
pregnant. It seemed to have a sooting
effect on my daughter....23 years later
she has such an appreciattion for music,
and not just for Nickel back, Creed, AC/DC
and Ludricris, Yeng Yang Twins! I love all
kinds of music. I also played nature
sounds rfrom CDs I'd purchased, rolling
ivers, the sea shore, birds in a
forest..........Babies in the womb also
love to be read to. I read poetry from
Robert Frost, and various poets. My very
favorite are from the 1930's and 40'
although they make me cry..........that
era was a whole new world!

oooo! Josh Groban! I am getting all of his
cd's and listening to them while I am in
labor. They are so uplifting and
beautiful. Some of them are in different
languages but they are so gorgeous that
you get taken away!

terra, im not sure who that is, but ill
deffinantly check it out
krissy, ill deffinantly give that a listen
too, although im not even sure what
hardcore is...ive probably listened to it,
just dont know lol, im not all that good
with genres
courtnie, i dont much like josh groben,
but i dont know, i may give him another
go, i could change my mind lol
becky, guns and roses? thats funny,
athough i love g&r i dont think id
really like to have that playing in the
middle of a contraction
kaerbear, thats helarious, but i actualy
do like salt n' pepa...so it makes it more
funny
fairy godmother, i love classical music
but im looking more for something with
lyric
the reason i need music is because i have
this breathing technique i taught myself
when i was little (it helps with
prectically everything for me, pain,
stuttering, nervousness, anxiety, anger,
frusteration, everything) and i think i
may want to use it in labor, but for it i
need music with lyrics because i chant the
words (dont really sing them, im not good
at it, but i say them) it helps me to
regualate my breathing and that helps me
so much
thanks for all the suggestions

The only music I listen to that is really
considered "motivating" is .p.o.d. They're
religious, too. Everything else I listen
to is either pretty, has a good beat, or
is otherwise .laura-friendly - but sadly a
lot of it isn't really motivating. It's
kind of emo-ish in its topics, I guess.
