Hello, I have been having abdomenal problems for about a year. Growing up I always had some stomach problems but they have become more severe lately.
I was diagnosed (well, diagnosed myself) with lactose intolerance. So I removed lactose from my diet, but still have intermittent problems with bloating and pain in the lower abdomen, for the most part, the diarhea is gone. I got tested for ciliac (negative) and had no blood in my urine. My symptoms occur when I haven't eaten in a while (if I don't eat right when I feel hungry). So i thought it was in my diet, but can't think of what it could be. It is hard to diagnose myself, as there doesn't seem to be any apparent patterns as to when it occurs, mostly during the day and rarely at night.
I was looking into candida albicans, since i do have some white discharge, but not sure if that is normal, as I have had this for as long as I can remember.
I have regular pap smears with no problems. Is there any diagnostic tests that can be done, or anything I should ask the doctor to test for? I am wondering if I have damage to my intestines that has caused the lactose intolerance, if it's causing problems with the secretion of lactase. But I don't really know what I am talking about Smile

I would request follow up celiac testing, including a biopsy, blood tests, and genetic testing. Many times it takes several tests to get a concrete diagnosis. Your symptoms really do sound like celiac disease.
