Q: Full Body Cleanse

I am having quite a few health problems right now, and I was doing some research trying to find out what's wrong with my body; I ended up coming across an alternative health website that details pretty much every symptom I have and says a full body cleanse (liver, kidney, bowels) would take care of all of them...

Anyways, I was just wondering if these cleanses are really worth doing? To do a full body cleanse it cost a lot of money, and I'm not really sure about the whole "alternative medicine" thing.

Thanks.

Edit: The health problems I was referring to; shortness of breath (my doctor thinks I'm developing asthma), acne on the face and chest, constipation, pain in the abdomen, anxiety, restlessness... from the description on the site most of these things can be caused by parasites, which I have to (embarrassingly admit) I might have.

I would go for it. I don't know how much a lot of money is for you, but I would think that feeling great is worth the cost.

I decided to start cleansing a couple of years ago after reading about it. My first cleanse , I purchased online through a company called Young Living. At the time, I had a pain on the right side of my stomach in an area where the ileocecal valve is located. The ileocecal valve is the area between the large and small intestine. Food travels down, the valve opens and the food moves into the colon and than the valve shuts. For some reason, my valve would remain open, and the pain I was experiencing was probably some of that food going back up where it does not belong. I had this problem for at least a year and a half. Sometimes I would move wrong in my sleep and the sharp pain was so bad it would wake me up. I did not know what to do. My massage therapist showed my how to shut it with massage, which worked temporarily, but eventually it would start hurting again. After doing my cleanse, the pain has been gone for at least 2 years now. I don't know if it was the colon cleanse or some kind of parasite causing the problem, but that major annoyance and pain is gone.

I would definitely recommend a cleanse to anyone willing to give it a try. It is well worth it. I have way more energy and health now, than I did before.

I now do regular cleansing for maintenance. My favorite cleansing products are by Young Living, Isagenix, and parasite cleansed by Clarkia. Every few months I do a colon cleanse and about 2 or three times a year, right after my colon cleanses, I do a parasite cleanse.

I also have an Isagenix protein shake and supplements every morning.

I hope this helps of removes any doubt about the positive benefits of cleansing.

Anal Odor
do you think doing a full body cleanse would neutralize a fart or fecal smelling anal odor?

Anal Odor
A total cleansing program does neutralize the smell as it is eliminating the build up and keeping you regular. It works. I have been using DrNatura's "colonix" and it works great. I do the cleanse at least once and sometimes 2 times a year. Great for the whole body. I would also check out your diet with a naturopath and see if there are foods affecting your system ie: taking longer to digest therefore fermenting and causing internal gases. That sort of thing. Let us know what you are doing and how it is working for you. It is always great to hear other experiences and successes.

I'm about to start a cleanse myself. The dual action cleanse product. I don't think it is a whole body but it should help. I agree with the other posts. Cleansing is a first step to health.

By the way has anyone herd of this medice or herd for cleansing called triphala. I found out about it here:

I see you posting this alternative cleanse. Do you have any experience with it? If you are posting it would be better if you give us your experiences and not just links to send us to.
