The pills are horomones.

Your placebo week is 7 days long. Some women don't get their period until day 3, 4, even day 7. If you made sure to wait one full week before having unprotected sex, then you should be safe. If you are worried, please take a test next monday.

It's normal to not get your period right away when you first start, and if you don't have side effects, then consider yourself lucky! As long as you're taking them at the same time every day then they're working just fine.

thank you so much for your answers. im much more relieved now.Very Happy

ok there's one more thing that bothers me, i dont get to take my pills exactly the same time everyday, i take it say 15 or 10 minutes late, AND i cant break my smoking habits (like 5 sticks a day), i know there's a high risk of blood clot etc, im 22 y/o by the way. but still there's no side effects at all. am I that numb? i cant seem to feel anything.. in addition, its my first day today of light spotting and some mild cramps..

Many many women do not have side effects from birth control. I personally don't. Birth control has been nothing but wonderful to me. You hear a lot of horror stories but they do not represent the majority!

You smoking is pretty dangerous, but you already know that. Birth control will also lighten your period and lessen your cramps. Horray! My cramps are managable finally!

I don't think 10 or 15 minutes would make a difference. Don't worry about it.
