I'll be around the same area as you Candita! I am going tobe in .Marseilles at a dinner with my mommy. I will prolly go into LaSalle before the day is over.

On saturday we are having a cookout with my mil. It will be good because my 2 bil (one of which finally graduated from college) and my sil are going to be home and we haven't seen them since Christmas.

Lmao! My family enjoys going to the boat dock and watching the boats go into the water.

I am not a huge fan of lasalle/peru but if you go to the mall eat at didoughs. I love the pretzels there. I used to teach in that town at a studio there. My orchestra is out of that town too.

Ahhh, the fond memories I have driving around town.

i'm just sitting here sweating my balls off. i'm seriously too hot to move.

i don't know what we're doing on saturday, probably nothing. though it is grocery day for me, woohoo!

sunday we're going to my parents house for a mother's day meal. we're having a fried seafood feast of haddock nuggets, clams, shrimp, and scallops (my diet is out the window that day). it'll be nice, my brother and his wife and my younger brother will be there too. i salivate just thinking about the food...

for the main holidays (easter, thanksgiving, and christmas) we have stuff like turkey and ham. sometimes at christmas we'll have a huge italian meal with lasagna and meatballs and stuff since we just had a huge turkey meal a month before.

for stuff like mother's day and father's day and summer/early fall birthdays, we'll usually have bbqs. my birthday dinner is usually thanksgiving (i know, what a rip off).

this year both my parents are busy all day sunday so they're going to pick up the fried seafood from a local restaurant and make some easy stuff to go with it.

maybe they were just having lobster at christmas as a fun thing for you? i've never known anyone to do that around here.

oh, and nick and i eat mussels like once a week. they're probably the grossest looking food ever but they are wicked good.

Bridget the Mother's day meal sounds awesome! But I am a seafood fan and I just found out like a month ago that I like clams, lol. We are doing the regular bbq stuff..ribs, hamburgers, hotdogs and then whatever else people bring.

I am going to get my flower beds ready to plant, clean up my yard, and I'm going to sleep. Mike is off, so he will get up with the baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!

We will bbq, because we do every day. We are going to go to .Sam's club and get some .Emeril sausage. YUMMY!!!

I'm sure lobster is out for me. It's over $10 a pound. I love love love mussels too and they are cheap.

Yesterday was a bit hot. Here I am crabbing about the heat, when 2 months ago when I was freezing I was mad about that.

Hopefully the smoke from the fires won't be too bad because it will ruin my trip...and i most likely won't go.
