Pregnancy is possible at any time during your cycle, it depends on when you ovulate. If you do not wish to become pregnant, you should get on birth control as well as use a condom every time.

If you started your period after having sex, you are not pregnant. However, I would suggest using condoms or birth control pills if you want to avoid pregnancy in the future.
