Q: Painless Streak On Penis - Worried Sick!!

I noticed today that I had a bruise like streak around the corona of my penis. I'm sure it wasn't there last week. Should I see a doctor? Worried and anxious.

I have been taking antibiotics for a bad strep throat and some Tylenol to get rid of a cold . Could it be a drug side effect?

No extramarital sex in the last year, and no sex in the last 2 months, not sure if this is even sexually transmitted.

Please advice - thanks !!!

Yes, I would suggest talking to your doctor.

Yeah, that's nothing to worry about. Never noticed it before? I'm pretty sure it was probably there for a long time.

from the pic you posted in the other post, it looks like maybe a small blood vessel break. I'd show it to a doctor on your next checkup, wouldn't schedule an appointment just for that, unless of course it changes color, size or becomes painful.

Ummm, this can't be the person you're thinking of, because for one it isn't the same name and two if you look they've only made a single post, and this is it.

I only noticed it yesterday, hasnt changed much since then, but it does look like a broken blood vessel, there is no irritation or pain in the area just the discoloration

Jeez what confusion! Looking at the picture now (I was thinking of another one), I wouldn't worry about it. I have things like that myself and they've been there for a long, long time. Also, since he mentioned the masturbation thing, I notice that after sex my penis something has discoloration like that for a few hours, simply from the energy used and the fact that a condom was on. If it was a vessel you'd be feeling some pretty nasty pains there, and the vessels don't run like that. The best thing to do is watch it over the next two or three weeks. If you notice no change, it's nothing to worry about, if it goes away and you don't notice anything different, also nothing to worry about. However, if it gets larger or starts to hurt, then you go to the doctor.

Stan - what picture were you looking at? I was wondering why you said to get to the doctor.

30 year male. What I was afraid was it could be malignant but I don't have a history of cancer in the family. I have been taking some heavy medication (antibiotics,Tylenol's, benedryl ) in the last week for strep throat and fever could it be the side effects of a drug dose

Personally, I would go to a doctor anyway. There's nothing to lose by going. Maybe the doctor will say, "It's no big deal. Go home," but better safe than sorry in my opinion.
