what do they mean? This is just out of interest really because the origin of names has always facinated me. I only found out what .Mika meant a few weeks ago because i tottaly fell in love with the name but didn't want the meaning to change my opinion of it. Well anyway .Mika is of japanese origin and means 'beautiful smell' There is another meaning to it aswell from switzerland something about being at one with god i think.
What about your kiddies?

finnegan is a surname, i've never seen it on any baby name sites. finn means "fair" and seamus is a variation of james (which is my dad's name) and they both mean "supplanter".

I can't find .oni's name anywhere!!!

Her name was going to be plain jane, .oni. But, for some stupid reason, I decided on .kayoni .joilee.

I wanted to change it a while back...and am still thinking about it being that I can't find it.

Oni is .nigerian...but I can't find it!!

well I found this...and it goes against the origin of the baby book I found it in...
The meaning is similar, the origin is just totally off.

but here's what I got:

The meaning of the name .Oni is Born On Holy Ground

The origin of the name Oni is Native American

ive expained this a bunch of times, but i love it lol

valkyrie is from norse mythology, its from the story of valhalla, the valkyries were the ones who chose the bravest slain warriors to fight in the appocolyptic battles, they were the workers of odin, and they also helped to train the warriors

valkyrie literally means "choser of the slain" though

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valkyrie

that explains a lot about valkyrie mythology

sarah, i found this on behindthename.com

ONI
Gender: Feminine

Usage: Yoruba

Possibly means "born in sacred abode" in Yoruba

i also found something about it meaning something in japaneese folklore on wikipedia

Trey means 3. His full name is Michael Trey Dominic...Trey because his dad and Grandpa's names are Michael so instead of being pretensious snobs and naming him Michael the 3rd, We did Michael Trey.

Michael= who is like God
Trey=3
Dominic= of the Lord

wow he has a .godly name. dominic is my step dad's middle name, didn't know what it meant till now-lol
