Q: Swollen Parotid Gland

My left parotid gland has been swollen for over 5 years. The right is swollen too, but not as noticeable, since part of it was removed when a benign tumor was removed from there over 15 years ago. The enlargement does not seem to fluctuate. My doctor suspected Sjorgren's syndrome and sent me to a rheumatologist, who gave me a blood test. He said the test was negative for SS and that my conditiion may have been caused by diabetes, which I do have. My GPisagrees and still insists on the SS. I am baffled. I do have dry mouth and eyes but it is not a continual thing. My skin is extremely dry and my hands are cold to the touch a great percentage of the time.
What is wrong with me?
