This Is Really Strange......

Ok, so I am going on my second cycle of
temping and so far it has been quite
educational. It's really fun to learn
more about my body. It's something that
you just can't read online about, or ask
questions about...it's your body so no one
else will have exactly the same experience
as you.
So in my second month ff predicted that I
would ovulate on Saturday. Last cycle, I
had a 12 day luteal phase so I'm guessing
that is how it predicted it. Well it's
monday and I still have not had a temp
increase. It went way up on Thursday, but
I had gone out to dinner with friends and
had a few beers, so I'm guessing that's
why. Then it went way down and then back
up and now is slowly going back down.
The temps were 98.18, 97.27, 97.93, 97.76,
97.51 So I am guessing that I just didn't
ovulate this month??? Or maybe I will
have a really short luteal phase, and I
just haven't o'ed yet???
I am also guessing that if I ovulate next
month and then don't ovulate the following
month, that is a good indicator that one
of my overies might have a blockage or
something?
Who knows...aside from that, I am feeling
so sick to my stomach today it is driving
me crazy. I took vitamins this morning
and I thought I was sick from that, so I
ate some oatmeal...didn't help. Then I
had a snack...didn't help. Now I just
finished my lunch, and I am still sick. I
don't necessarily feel like I am going to
throw up, just an annoying feeling. Two
people at work today heard me say I felt
sick and they immediately said...are you
pregnant??? Ummmm.... NO!!!

Have you brought your chart to your doctor
and had them take a look at it?
Speaking of temps. I started temping on
friday. (I know not long enought to tell
anything) But is it normal for your temps
to be the same everyday.
They have been 97.70, 97.70, and 97.70 ( I
didn't temp this morning beccause my
bladder wasn't going to make it )

I have not taken my chart in for two
reasons... 1. I completely forgot to even
think of bringing it in the last two times
I had my treatment. 2. Now that I think
about it, I think I am going to talk to a
different doctor when i am done with my
treatment. I have a pap in July so if it
is all good, we will start trying again.
If we are not successful, then I think I
am going to try to change doctors. I just
really don't get a good vibe from this
doctor, even though she is good at her
job, she just has no personality, and I
think it is important to be able to be
comfortable with your doctor, and I
don't.
I don't know about the temps staying the
same day after day b/c it hasn't happened
to me yet.
I tried something last week. If anyone
doesn't think this is a good idea let me
know!!! I decided that I would take my
temp before I got out of bed and then I
got up went straight to the bathroom
(about 10 steps away) and took my temp
again to see if there was a difference.
There was less than 5/100 of a degree
difference. So I thought that if I have
those mornings that I can't wait to pee,
then it would be ok to temp while doing
so!!!
Let me know what everyone thinks about
that.

That is why I changed my last doctor. He
is supposed to be the best in his field.
But he had no bed side manner at all.
Could care less about my day or any
problems I was having. And made me feel
stupid to ask any question.
That just wasn't working. While my current
doc might not be best in her field she is
still a great doctor and I could actually
see talking to her if I ran into her out
side of work. Which is important to me.
But I think it would be a good idea to
bring you charts in and have her take a
look at your charts just to see what she
thinks. It couldn't hurt.

I will probably end up taking them with me
when I go in for the pap in July. I can
almost guarentee her answer... well you
really need to talk to a specialist about
that

I could only wish that was the case. I
had a semi regular period last
month...started on my anniversary of
course. Semi regular because it didn't
last nearly as long as recent af's. I
hardly had any cramps either which is
really strange for me since I have them so
bad sometimes.
Also we have been using condoms, so uless
one of those little spermies slipped
through, I doubt I'm pregnant.

Sorry to bring it up. It just seems like
some things could point that direction
and I just wanted to throw it out there.
(I think its the emotional that I was
thinking of) Have you talked to your dh
about how your feeling?

Thats ok, I was actually having the same
wishful thinking yesterday when people at
work asked if I was pregnant.
I have talked to dh about it, but it's not
all that bad right now. I just go in
phases of being upset. Last week was the
worst - two tickets in two days!!! Then my
mom was put in the hospital on Friday and
has to stay until Wednesday. It is
getting better though!
I don't know if I am alone here or not,
but sometimes dh has absolutely no idea on
how to console me or understand why I am
upset. He gets frustrated when I start
crying out of nowhere, and I think it's
because he doesn't know how to "fix it".

Ditto!! Sometimes my dh just doesnt have a
clue. He doesn't understand why I get so
upset and hea has not clue how to make it
better, so he pretty much tries to avoid
the intire situation at all just to not
upset me. Men.
I hope your mom is doing better!

Star - What are your cycles normally like?
Are they regular? I looked at your chart
and your temps seem quite eratic. Are you
on any meds right now?

Lately I have been having 26 day cycles.
This is only the second month that I have
been temping so I don't know why they
would be so eratic. Last month it seemed
like it was normal. I had a definite
ovulation point and a 12 day luteal phase.
I have had quite a bit of stress the
past 1 1/2 weeks and I have had trouble
sleeping. The only medicine I have taken
isn't really medicine. I have been taking
a melatonin which is a natural sleep aid.
Other than that, just my prenatals.
I don't know if it is the stress that is
making my ovulation late or if I am not
ovulating at all.

Insomnia should be noted on your charts
when you take them in for your doctor to
look at. If will def cause them to be
irratic. In the example one I was given it
was the only note made on the chart. So
Its common.

I would bet that stress and not sleeping
well are probably to blame for your temps
and lack of ovulation. Do you drink
alcohol? I know that can also effect
temps. I hope things calm down for you
some so you can destress a bit.

I do drink, but on very rare occasions.
Last wednesday night I did and I think
that's why it went up so high. But other
than that, I have had nothing more than a
few glasses of wine since then. Like
maybe 3.
abbysmom - how long have you been ttc #2?
How long have you been temping? The
reason I ask is because I was wondering if
you were able to tell a difference in your
temping cycles based on what side you
ovulate from? Just curious

We have been ttc #2 for 17 months now. I
started charting either the second or
third month. I honestly have only "felt"
ovulation on a certain side for these two
cycles that I have done clomid so I
haven't really noticed anything in my
charts. My first charts were very eratic
but mine is from having PCOS. They have
leveled out some since I started taking
Metformin.
I don't drink that often either but when I
do I sure notice a difference on my chart.
