Wrist Fracture That Healed Wrong
Posted: 05-06-07 18:27pm

Hey all,

When I was 20 I was involved in a bicycle accident which resulted in me landing awkwardly on my left wrist. I believe I fractured it because every time I bend it I feel this clicking. When I showed it to the doctor soon after the injury he took and X ray and said it was a bruise. Being the impressionable fool that I was I believed him.

Now I am 27 and I am contemplating getting a second opinion on this injury from someone more qualified...preferably an orthopedic surgeon. At my age would there be good chance that I could get this injury reset so that my wrist will be aligned properly again? I just want to avoid any potential problems in the future and I feel since I am still young this would be a good time to get it done. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Very
Happy

Welcome to ehealth! I am not a dr. My wrist clicks alot but it never hurts to have a second opinion, my shoulder does the same thing but I have had orthoscopic surgery done on it. I am older than you.
Good Luck!
