Just for informational purposes, I'm a 19 year old male.

I have had this strage "thing" on the inside of my upper thigh near my groin area. It has been there ever since I can remember (quite a few years), and I've never known what it was. I just figured it was one of those abnormalities that some people just have. I couldn't feel anything if I touched it or squeezed it. I never even paid much attention to it until lately when I began to get somewhat sore around it when I walk. It has gotten quite "puffy" almost like a bubble I guess you can say, and it's not soft anymore as it used to be. It used to be like just a small thing of "extra skin" just sitting there. Now it's kind of swollen and slightly red. Earlier today it was a little purple-ish, but it turned back to somewhat red after a couple of minutes. I'm not sure what I should do about it. To give you a better idea of what I'm talking about, here are some pictures:

Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

That looks like an external hemmroid, but the position is odd. Does it hurt?

I don't think pictures are appropriate; but the mod will have to judge that.

Secondly, if it's bothering you, then go to a doctor.

He hasn't shown anything bad, and I can see why he's concerned. A doctor on here might be able to easily tell what that is, but you are right in that he should be seen if it's a concern.
