Is it supposed to get worse before it gets better? I was almost clear and then BOOM! I have a little village on my chin. My back and arms were clear as day and now they have acne on them, is that supposed to happen? I heard some people get it but on your body? :S

Well mine always gets worse near my period anyway so that could be what's happening to you; but honestly I got clear and stayed clear almost immediately. It didn't get worse for me...

Not all birth control makes acne go away- some make it worse. If that is the effect you are going for, make sure your doc is aware so she puts you on one that might do that.

B/C has never really cleared up my acne. I would wait for a month or two and see if it helps, and if it doesn't, switch to something else.

... I was mainly taking it for the acne on my face and the b/f. I did here from the doctoer that it might be a couple months before it was better. *nods* I just thought I'd see how well it went for everyone else out there, but I guess that was a fruitless attempt since everyones different. -__-;;

I think I might as well ride it out and see how she blows ... it might get better. *shrug*

Thanks! Very Happy

i was on ortho tri cyclen for 8 months before i saw solid improvements with my acne. it could take quite a while for your body to get used to the hormones.. & make sure you're taking them at the same time everyday because when you don't you're throwing your hormones off thus possibly making you more prone to break outs.
