Q: What to do about Lump under Arm?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on May 4th, 2007
I recently discovered a small lump,a little smaller than a pea, under my arm. It is visible under the skin, moveable, and slightly tender. It also gets smaller if I apply heat to it,but goes back to its original size soon afterward. Is it anything to worry about?

I can’t speculate about the possible nature of the lump you are experiencing given only your description. You will have to consult your primary health doctor. A physical examination including inspection and palpation is the first step in diagnosing the problem.
