I was told i was positive for mono 3 days ago when all i had was a fever and a really bad sore throat with white stuff on it.

This morning when i woke up, i notice black spots appearing randomly on both sides on top of the white. Not only that, instead of my tonsils being inflamed, they are forming mountain shapes randomly all over my tonsils. I'd like to know if this is a common thing or should i go see the doctor again?

One last thing, my ears ache really bad every time i swallow, is this normal, or do i have an ear infection as well.

Lastly I was wondering if people have found things that helped with their cases of mono other than the gargling salt water routine. I've found that advil and a mixed smoothy drink using real frozen fruits helps alot, for about 30 minutes i cant feel a thing. It seems to work better than that horrible spray stuff you spray on your throat that numbs it.

Thank you very much,
I really appreciate all input people have to give.

Thanks,
Dom
