how do your animals interact with your babies?

finn is so in love with rudy, he's constantly watching him and smiling and looking so intrigued. unfortunately rudy wants nothing to do with finn and will only go near him when *he* wants to. poor finn is always trying to touch rudy and rudy's a weirdo so he gets all bug eyed and runs away. it's funny but i feel bad for finn, he just wants to pet his puppy!

i hope someday rudy comes around and they can be buddies.

lol our kids dont interact much with our dog but like other animals. On sunday when we were outside doing the garage sale liam was chasing a bird it was hilarious! Macy likes to point out what animal it is ( she calls a squirrel a kitty) She likes animals unless they are hyper then she gets scared. When sharons dogs had puppies she would carry them cuz they were so little but now they are really hyper and she screams and shakes and runs. she likes topet kitties tho. liams never been to fasinated with animals til he saw that bird.

My dogs love .Jenny.. and she loves them. They're very protective of her.. and if you say to .Meg (the border collie) "where's baby .Jennifer?" she immediately runs to .Jenny & sniffs her.

Jenny cracks up when the dogs run round the living room, she loves watching them. She likes to try and grab their fur too, but they don't mind.

.Adriana did just was .finn is doing. When she could sit, but not crawl yet he would always sit next to her, or lay next to her. But once she started crawling he ignored her. Now that she's walking I think he's getting it through his head "Oh...so this is a person!" so now he's been a little more interested. I hope he gets more interested tho. If any other kid comes over .chavo gets so excited and bugs the poor kid to death. So maybe once .rudy understands that .finn is a person and he's there to stay he'll warm up a little better. And the cat will rub against .adriana, and she pulls his hair, but he seems to think he's getting pet.

well, we got rid of .black .girl, as most of yall know. But let me tell you something, that dog loved that baby.

SUgar lets .oni ride her, and kiss her, and smack her butt, and play with her tail. She's a very very very laid back dog. and she's amazing with kids!!!!

If I could suggest any type of dog, american bulldog would be it!!!

My dog loves Bri. She tries to lick Bri! (ew) Of course I don't let her. Brianne gets mad when Molly won't walk near her. Bri grabs Molly's fur and Molly doesn't care. I think she thinks Brianne's petting her lol.

my cats could not care less about .gabe... haha, they don't even pay attention to him. sometimes when i come home & set the carseat down, they'll peek inside & sniff his head, but other than that, they leave him alone. i'm sure it'll be fun once .gabe is old enough to chase them & pull their tails! I thought about getting an animal in the house but chose not too because i can't have brayden munching on furr and stepping in piss, eating sh*t maybe...

So yeah I think it's a bad idea to have pets around babies, but that's just me. Heck, I won't even let brayden around any dogs because i'm so scared he'll get bit, and if that happens i'm gonna be getting the shotgun and putting it to the dogs head...seriously...

I won't even let Brayden come with me to Tommy's house because he has a huge german shepard and he's so obsessed with pit bulls and wants to get one when he moves. Screw that!

I feel that animals should be taught to be around children and children to be around animals as long as the animals are kept clean and are taught correctly just like children being around pets(just my opinion of course, I am an animal and a kid lover anyways, my kids were always around pets and so was I).

My mom has two chihuahuas and Ava loves them. One loves her and lets her pet her and even yank at her ears and tail, but the other one wants nothing to do with her and will even growl. We don't feel comfortable with Ava around the dogs because of the hair and the one that growls, but my mom is really careful and Ava never goes down on their floor.

.LOL

One of my cats couldn't care less about .Jaylon and the other will sniff at him and try to cuddle him every chance he gets. He's good to only do it when we are around though. Luckily. I don't have a dog right now Crying
or Very sad

Kids should always be raised to respect animals and their space. I always hate to see a kid ripping on an animals ears or pulling their tail. I don't condone a dog biting a kid, but it certainly seems logical that they would when they are being hurt.

Well, not all parents are as caring as you. I have seen some disgusting stuff, seriously..... But I have tried to have a puppy/dog before brayden was here and it didn't work out. I don't think i'm very good at potty training them or something..But i can't keep a dog that won't quit pooping and peeing in my house, even if you keep it clean it's still too much to worry about with a little one on the way.

I know this one girl and the whole time she was pregnant she had like 5 cats and her house was stanky with cat piss and the male cats spray and omg it's sooooooooooo nasty.

I'm gonna puke.

We have two dogs that live inside the house. They get along great with Logan. Bear doesn't really pay much attention to him, but Diesel is an attention lover and will lay there all day and let Logan pet him or will give Logan a puppy kiss every now and then.

And Logan adores the dogs. He laughs whenever they get anywhere near him. But, even though they've always been really good dogs, we never ever leave him alone in a room with them, and he can only play with them if we're right there playing too. We trust them normally, but Logan is a strong guy and doesn't understand the concept of being gentle.

They get a bath once a week, and I sweep the floors every day and mop every other day (we don't have any carpet). It's a lot of work sometimes, but I love having the dogs around. And I'd probably be that obsessive about the floors anyway since Logan's starting to crawl.

I agree with you, their are some people that should just not have pets, if you cannot train them and take care of them and clean up after them then their are some people that should just not have animals or pets, I too have seen this, it can be pretty bad.
