Since my boy was young he never liked
being swung around by his dad or to this
day doesn't like carnival rides. We got a
call from the preschool, when he was 4 yrs
old and they said he felt dizzy and he
said he felt the world spinning around
him. This still goes on. He's 10 years old
now. Last episode was this week. This also
happens when he's playing sports or comes
out of a movie theatre or dark places into
light. We have had neological
tests/balance tests/ear tests, and blood
tests done. Nothing has been found. The
last blood test was 1 yr ago, which I'll
picking up for a 2nd opinion. I called
for copies and the nurse pulled up his
file and noticed his glucose level to be
106 and said that was high. Neither one of
us remember or know if he fasted that day.
She said he must not have?!
Besides his extreme dizziness 2-3 times a
month, other symptons, on a daily basis
are hunger, irritability, night sweats,
anxiousness, and trouble concentrating.
Please let me know your opinion on these
issues.
Thanks.

After numerous tests I find it hard to
believe that they missed diabetes. But not
impossible.
Have the done any tests on his blood
pressure? Have you seen any specialists
for these tests, or has a general
physician been administering them?

My child gets his blood pressure checked
each time we go into see the doctor. No
extensive tests have been done. He's only
seen general physicians for his dizziness
and bloodwork. We felt if there was any
indication of something irregular, the
doctor would have referred us to a
specialist. Just wanted your opinion on
his symptons.
Thanks.

You may want to think about seeing a
specialist. Sometimes general physicians
(while fully capable) can miss some things
simply because they have not have much
experience with it. I think it is a good
sign that the blood work has all come back
normal. Have they suggested doing another
fasting test?
