Q: Abdominal Discomfort And Fatigue

For 5 days now, I have had considerable abdominal discomfort and bloating. I woke up on the first day with a dull ache and pressure on the right side of my abdomen, mainly below the ribs and right above my hip. My stomach and entire abdomen area feels bloated most of the time, and the bloating gets worse if I eat food. It almost feels like a lot of gas buildup that never passes out of my system. My stool is loose, but I don't have diahrrea in the sense that I only have to go no more than once a day, but when I do, its very loose. Also, I have been very fatigued since all of this started. I end up sleeping at least 10 hours a night, and yet I have very little energy during the day. The main symptoms are abdominal bloating and fatigue, with a mild dull ache in the lower right side of my abdomen. I have not experienced much, if any improvement over a 5 day span and I was wondering if anyone has any idea what could be causing this? Sad

Extremely eHealthy
Tummy troubles just seem to affect the whole body, don't they. I am sorry you aren't feeling well. I am wondering if you are still feeling the same? It could be a nasty virus. If your symptoms persist, it could be signs of a GI disorder. Have you had someting like this in the past? If you are getting no relief from over the counter remedies (immodium, etc), and diet change (adding fiber) you should probably take this issue up with your doc or a GI doc. You should have a good workup.
