I started prozac about 8 days ago. The last couple of days when i got upset my arms would tingle like when your foot falls asleep and go away, sometimes only lasting a few seconds or a minute. Last night it started and when i woke up, my arms were still tingling and have remaind that way. Also last night i experienced a total lose of ALL emotions for about an hour or two. Does anyone understand this and is it a normal side effect?

I had similar problems when I first began taking Prozac. The doc lowered my dose and it was fine after that. Check with your doctor.

God bless...

To Dianna25 From Prozac_Ear_tingling
PROZAC® is (fluoxetine) Capsules, USP. It is the name you are paying for (Prozac). The drug is fluoxetine. It is the reason I never buy anything but generic drugs. The reason you pay more is only for a name nothing to do with the drug itself. Here is a its chemical makeup C17H18F3NOHCl. It's like buying acetaminophen generic and not TYLENOL®. The TYLENOL® cost more becasue it is a Brand Name but the drug inside is still acetaminophen with the same chemical properties C8H9NO2.

On top of my ear tingling I have had a very dry nose which leads to bloody noses now and then.

prozac
I use to take prozac for my depression and panic attacks I never experience anything like that. But I would incourage you to let your Doctor know this. He should instruct you what to do. I do hope this helped you. I will be praying for you and your family for the best.
God bless you.

I have been taking 20mg of prozac for eight days. I am now experiencing exploding headaches and neck muscle tightness. Is this normal? I cannot function with these headaches. I want to stop taking prozac.
