im 16 turning 17 and im a junior in high school and especially this year i have been getting an attack of pimples on my face, and they're not going away, my mom says its from hormones and im taking her word for it since i don't no, i used proactive, and proactive advance for about 3 weeks with getting no results at all. i tried alot about 3 different kinds of clean and clear solutions, those didn't work....... now im trying rubbing alcohol, aloe plants and gel(i prefer the gel because the plants is a mess and taste really really bad if it get in your mouth).......... my mom says i have sensitive skin, and i take her word because she used to be a p.e. teacher and they had to learn all about health so she has the best knowing knowledge on acne as far as i know.

My ACNE
1. little red dots, that soon turn into big white heads
2. appear on cheek area the most, some around the nose and lips, though ones around the nose become really big and throbbing.
3. im not sure how oily my face is suppose to be and its hard to tell because im light skinned. but it seems pretty oily when i come home from school.
4. pimples become flaky, but every pimple i get popped or un-popped become scars which i really need to fix also.

pleasee help me!!!

Acne is not fun! Try vitamin C, B6, zinc supplementation and stay completely away from sugar (ya this includes soda pop, granola bars and yogrut). Oily skin usually responds to vitamin B12, and Folic Acid supplementaion. Also try Kombucha tea, brew it at home.

Some times food sensitivities are behind acne flare ups, if you have a favorite food or crave a food try eliminating it for 3 weeks see if that helps.

The problem is most people don't know what eating healthy really means.
Orange juice is high in sugar, and only gives you about 60 mg of vitamin C, which is not sufficient to help with an acne problem. Start by eliminating all sugar from your diet for three weeks, this won't hurt a healthy person, and may be all that is needed to resolve the acne. If you don't try it you'll never know.

Your body gets energy from a variety of different foods. I am not aware of a RDA for sugar though. Complex carbohydrates (beans, peas, whole grains, etc...) are your best source, check out low glycemic index foods and stick with those for a while.

Good luck!
God bless!
