Q: Itching/discomfort In My Penis, Before Prostate

Hello,

I'm an 18 year old male. I am not sexually active.

A while back I took an expired protein supplement which made me sick, it gave me diarrhea that lasted for about 2 weeks.

After this period I started noticing that I would get the urge to urinate more often. If I would ejaculate the night before, I would wake up with a intense sensation to urinate. After I urinate the feeling went away after 5min the most.

About a week after episodes of that, I started getting weird urges to masturbate. I ejaculated 3 times under 1 hour and drank some alcohol the same day. The next morning, I felt fine- about 2 hours later I got an extreme urge to urinate, I urinated much less than I thought I would and after I still felt in the need to urinate again.

The whole day I felt horrible annoying itching/ urge to pee, I went to the doctor and he found no bacteria in the urine and all other tests were fine.

The next day I felt a bit better and went to the doctor again, this time they found bacteria in my urine. I was prescribed antibiotics and was referred to a urologist for possible prostatitis.

I have no symptoms of pain in my back, no discharge, no chills, etc except the itching in my pelvic region.

It feels like the itching moved from my prostate to my penis and now I am having horrible itching in my penis.

Please help me.

I don't think your current problems are related to the supplement you took that was bad.

I would take the medicine you are given. It's possible that you somehow infected yourself during the diarheah.

Thanks for replying,

I'm pretty sure I'm infected somewhere.

I just hope it's not prostatitis Sad

Don't be so sure, you eat a stale thing like that with bad bacteria and it can infest you. Stay on the antibiotics treatment and I suggest supplementing with probiotics at the same time. Let us know what happens.

I was prescribed Cipro, I feel much better now, gonna stay on it for about a month.

It was a minor form of prostate inflammation, prostatitis.

Figured something got in there. To repair the prostate, and keep it healthy if you want, take one capsule of saw palmetto every day or every other day. It's relatively cheap with no side effects. Helps the entire sexual system for men.

Sounds good, but is it safe to take at age 18?

Yes, though I don't recommend the dosage you're probably going to find on the bottle which is like three times a day. You'll find it has other benefits as well. If you notice too much of an increase in blood flow, just decrease the dosage. You don't have to take it, but I started to because of one symptom I used to get with low blood sugar and it cleared it up real quick, as well as adding some benefits...
