Alright. Well I was thinkin bout livy's middle name and I had come to the conclusion of alyvia ravyn turner...And then I told my mom how dorine wouldnt be too bad of a middle name...(her middle name) alyvia dorine... Well she got excited and told her buddies and now im not quite sure what to do. I mean, it was only a thought and she really took it to heart, and honestly, im not too crazy about it...Although, ravyn has no meaning for me I like it more. Embarassed what do I do?

Love mol

Thats a tough one but you can't give your baby a name you don't like. Are you still with the father becuase if you were you could say he really wants to call the baby a name that means something to him that has been in his family or something. Ok that was bad advice i'll try to think of something else. Smile

Hey
Hmmm. Must be a tough situation! I personally like the name you chose. Not your mothers... But I can see why it would be difficult to pick! But, remember it's your baby and you have to like the name you give your child. I think your mother will understand. I mean, it might take a minute or two to sink in, but she'll be alright.
Love,

I had the same problem! We we're thinking of giving rylee a middle name after one of our mothers but I came to the conclusion that I didn't want anyone to get hurt feelings. I just told them that I didn't want to make anyone feel left out. They were very understanding and we picked a name we both liked. I hope that helps!

Someone else had the same problem on here also I remember. I think you should really name the baby something that you really want not just what some else wants. Smile

I totally understand! My only thing was I was battling with 3 different people on what to name my daughter, including my husband!! Lol I wanted to name her teresa margo, my mother wanted us to name her nina doreen and my husband and his mom insisted on the name jaidyn megan(it is tradition in their family, that if the first baby born is a boy, their middle name will be the father’s first and if it’s a girl, she will take her mom’s first name as her middle) so of course I didn’t want to break tradition and teresa megan didn’t sound “right” and brad wouldn’t let up on jaidyn so finally a week before she was born I caved in!! Lol

We also had a similar problem. For jaydens middle name I wanted to use danielle in memory of my father daniel (he was murdered). But then steve didn't think that was "fair" so he picked his mothers middle name wich was eileen. So thats how we came up with jayden danielle-eileen.
I think it sounds great with two middle names. Maybe you could do something like that? When we write her middle initial its d. So we usually go by danielle, we just drop eileen. Or sometimes I say to her "jayden danielle" so that way you could maybe leave doreen out of it in a sense. Like livy ravyn-doreen but just call her livy raven. If that made any sense. It is confusing to explain on here.
