Q: Drug That Inhibits Sexual Desire?

The desire for sex can just about consume so people's lives. For me it is more of just a nuisance that distracts me from studying, working, and other things. You'd think that there would be a drug out there that would be able to inhibit your sexual desire....at least temporarily. Has anyone heard of one.

If not. What part of the brain is affected by sexual desires and what types of drugs can affect those parts of the brain?

There is no drug to supress sexual desire because sexual desire is healthy. In fact, the desire to have sexual desires is what drives a lot of research for both men and women.

Do you think viagra would exist if sexual desire was the destructive force you believe it to be? No.

I don't think most people would want to lessen their sexual desire. Yes, there are the rare people who do have above-average desire (nymphomaniacs and the male equivalent), but they are rare, and they normally use therapy, not drugs, to control their behavior.

Other than those with extremely high libidos usually find masturbation to relieve desires. Temporary it may be, but if you find satisfaction in it, it could be enough for the whole day or more. Not putting yourself into arousing situations also helps, such as not visiting websites that have material that arouses you.

There Is a Few
I'm not promoting this, just giving you an answer to the question of where and what supresses it. Coccaine inhibits your nerves, depresses your mood to a high arousal in a mental area, instead of physical, it acts on your hypothalamus, a part of your brain that controls your emotions and moods, and it stimulates it all into your brain.
