hi i missed a period a few months ago... my pregancy test showed negative.... but i ddint have a period until one night when i had a huge blood clot come out of me... it was not like a normal blood clot.... i got it out of the toilet and it didnt fall apart or anything... it was almost like something solid.... after that my periods were extremely irregular... which my periods had always been regular....i would bleed for almost the whole month.... when i had the blood clot come out of me was in october.... i had to be put on birth control in march without seeing a gynocologist because i was bleeding to much.... after i took the birth control my period straightened up towards the end of april.... is it possible that i had a miscarriage and it caused my irregular periods??? i have not been to a gynocologist yet and i was wondering if that could be what is wrong.

It is possible that it could have been a miscarriage. Many pregnacies - up to 20% - end early on without the woman even knowing she was pregnant.
I think you need to go see a gyno.

IF you had a miscarriage, then the pregnancy test would have come up positive..
It could have easily been a blood clot, which can be common in women that have highly irregular periods.
Definitely see a gyno, but it may have simply been a blood clot.
