IN my state, your insurance covers the medical and then goes after their insurance for reimbursment.

You should go to a Orthopedic doctor, not a chiropractor. You may have more damage than you think. If you do decide later to go after their insurance for a settlement you will get more money if you went to a doctor then if you went to a chiropractor. You should probably call an attorney just to be on the safe side.

I hope you are feeling better soon!

I got a set of xrays back yesterday just to make sure I was doing the right thing (right Doctor) there is actully very little damage to my neck ( a little out of wack) and I found out I have a extra vertabre I'm Special! I guess the chiro is good for now. I don't know if my insurance will go after his I don't think so. .M.N is stupid that way. I hate being punished for something that isn't my fault (eg if my premium goes up because they have to pay out.) Thanks for the advice I should call my uncle he is a lawyer and ask him whats up.

I was rear-ended a little over a year ago. It didn't seem like a big deal at first. My neck was just a little sore. I went through all the xrays and mri's and ct scans and everything looked fine. I ended up damaging a nerve in my neck. I have been diagnoses with trigeminal neuralgia. I have blinding nerve pain (my occipital nerve took the most damage) 4-5 days a months were I can't speak, eat, or even think. That's why I said to get an attorney anyway. Just to be on the safe side. But if you have family that is an attorney, I suggest just asking them about it, as I have *no* clue what the laws are there.

I hope it won't effect your rates. I would be livid if it did!
