Just wondering if anyone can explain why?
My boyfriend is a stronger believer in going to church every sunday etc. Personal im not interested in that i have my own views on this sitation. But a few weeks ago i went to church with him and was panicing so much i thought i was going to pass out.. As i was in there just sat down listening etc i was sweating shaking feeling phycialy sick .. all i wanted to do was get out and run.. ive only ever been to church once when my mum remarried when i was 11 im now 20. Is there something i could maybe do to help with these feelings im getting all because of a church !

Hi Louise.
It sounds like you had a panic attack. Why? It's hard to say. you said that you had your own beliefs that didn't necessarily click with the church's. How strong are your convictions? It could be as simple as; you really didn't believe in what and where you were; and something inside you told you to get going. Or there could be something much more complex to it. If you really want to go for the sake of your boyfriend, you should let him know what happened and ask him to be patient with you. If it continues, maybe speaking with a therapist would be beneficial.
I was raised Catholic, and from the first time I recall, I have always had severe waves of dizzyness when I walk into a church. It has eased some since, but it is always there. I have no idea why. Good Luck.
