I have been having what I am almost certain is sinus problems (which has included face pain and headaches daily). They have just tried me on clindamycin for the first time, since doxycycline didn't work for my sinuses and two rounds of amoxicillin didn't help what was diagnosed as strep throat. The clindamycin does seem to be making a difference--less need for pain pills. My throat did finally start to feel better a while back and I stopped needing to take pain pills for that. It never totally seemed to resolve, however. My entire pharynx was involved.

However, even though the clindamycin seems to be making some headway with my sinus problem, now it seems my throat is starting to get sore again (right side, same side), plus there is tenderness in my lymph nodes and my jaw bone even (this is new!). Sometimes it also feels like whatever I have is trying to make its way into my right ear.

I have been sick for a long time. This is discouraging. I even saw an ENT. He told me there was nothing he could do for me. (He was not very nice.)

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with an ent.

Have you been tested for any allergies?
